Connect Notice is about bringing people together in a time of need through different forms of online connection. To find solace and connection, weaving a tapestry of empathy that embraces each individual in their pain. Through the warmth of shared understanding, the journey through sorrow becomes a communal endeavor, reminding us that we are not alone in facing life's most challenging moments and that there is life after someone is gone.
Growing up, I remember watching my aunties and cousins gathered around a coffin, carefully writing the funeral notice. They would meticulously list each person close to the deceased, counting and recounting every word to ensure everyone was acknowledged. Every word came at a cost, so the notice had to fit within a strict budget, which often meant they had to limit what they could say. Even as a child, I wished there was a way to make this process easier for them. I imagined a time when they wouldn’t have to worry about the cost of each word, where they could freely express something more heartfelt and meaningful to inform and connect everyone who wanted to pay their respects. This project is the beginning of that dedication—to create a space where families can share these moments openly, without financial strain, to reach all those who want to be part of this time of remembrance and support.
So we are here to create a pathway forward with funeral notices for all races, beliefs, genders and all ethicity's. We are here to learn beside each culture to develope a pathway forward with connect notice.
